Northwestern University Prosthetics-Orthotics Student Society (NUPOSS)
The Northwestern University Prosthetics-Orthotics Student Society (NUPOSS) provides enrichment opportunities through professional development activities and collaboration with P&O and related healthcare professions. We strive to foster an environment where students are enriched by mentorship and networking opportunities with P&O and healthcare professionals.
Membership in NUPOSS is voluntary and open to current students. Students who are enrolled in the NUPOC MPO program may benefit most from membership in NUPOSS. Updates on the group are available through the NUPOSS Instagram page.
Group projects include:
- Medical Knowledge & Scholarship
Interact with faculty sponsors and lunch-and-learn guest speakers; assist NUPOC STEM education programs - Professional Development
Develop résumé, career-building seminars and career days - Community Engagement & Service
Volunteer at Illinois Special Olympics, Go Baby Go! and other events - Effective Communication & Interpersonal Skills
Help organize and facilitate on-site and virtual career days; design and promote NUPOC and NUPOSS apparel
2024-2025 Officers
Elected officers serve from Feb. 1 of the NUPOC onsite portion through Jan. 31 of the following year.
